We stock premium orchard apple firewood that is sourced from Summerland BC. This wood is perfect for cooking, smoking or indoor heating. Lovely to use for barbecuing, smoking, in a pizza oven or classic wood-fired oven. Has very hot coals and good flames so makes for a nice dense hardwood with a good aroma for indoor burning as well.
Our Orchard apple is sourced from Summerland BC. It is in limited supply based on season and availability. The applewood is harvest directly from orchards after the trees are done being fruit-bearing.
The nature of apple trees causes our orchard apples to vary in shape and size however we do our best to keep a consistent 16" cut and standard sizing.
Apple is a beautiful dense hardwood that is amazingly hot with perfect coals for cooking and heating. Generally, apple is primarily used for cooking and smoking in a bbq or over an open flame but it can also be used indoors as a great heat source. It has a very high density with no popping or crackling, moderate smoke and moderate ash.
